Ben Rainey
EVENTING | SHOWING
"My name is Ben Cousins - Rainey, I am 20 years old and based in County Down, where I produce and compete show horses and young event horses. I began riding from a young age and knew early on that working with horses was the career I wanted to pursue. Since then, I have focused on producing horses to a high standard across multiple disciplines.
Over the past few years, I have been fortunate to achieve success both nationally and internationally, which have been major milestones in my career to include: Top 10 finishes in international eventing | Winner of the 4-Year-Old Working Hunter at Balmoral | Reserve Champion Riding Horse at Balmoral | Champion Star of the Future at Balmoral | Champion and Reserve Novice Intermediate at the Northern Ireland Festival | Completion of Dublin Horse Show and Burghley Horse Trials Young Event Horse finals"
Emma Egan
EVENTING
"Hi, my name is Emma Egan, I am an Irish event rider currently based in the UK with Irish Olympian Padraig Mc Carthy. I was incredibly lucky to be loaned a fantastic mare, Ballytoher Sabrina (who we later bought) that took me up to 2* and gave me some incredibly memorable achievements. Currently I have 3 horses at Novice level and several youngsters coming up behind them. I hope to make a step up with each of them this year during my time in the UK.
Some of my achievements include: Millstreet 2*S winner 2022 | Reserve Champion RDS Dublin Horse Show Young Event Horse 2024 | Several Top 10 placings at 2* | Several Top 5 placings at National ODE | Recipient of the George Mernagh Youth Bursary 2025"
Megan Connell
SHOWING | SIDE SADDLE
"Hi my name is Megan Connell and I’m a show and side saddle rider from Mullingar. I have been competing horses and ponies all my life from showjumping to showing and side saddle. I have been very lucky with my results the past few years with my wonderful mare Toberpatrick Ruby. Toberpatrick Ruby has been Reserve Side Saddle Champion in the RDS in both 2024 and 2025 and has had many championships under her belt. I’m excited to be a part of Glas Equine as turnout is a massive factor in showing."
Adam Campbell
“Hi my name is Adam. I’m a showjumper based in Mullingar Co. Westmeath Hollyland Stables with a small team of horses at home. I enjoy producing young horses and putting my hand to all disciplines. “With the great help from my parents, especially my mam who taught me how to ride and supports me at all our shows. My team of horse are 6 yr old HVL BLACK PERL, 5 yr old HVL GOLDEN GIRL and younger projects and broodmares including my old jumping mare Leanbh.Looking forward to the rest of the season and having Glas Equine as a sponsor."
Heather Lemmon
Grade 2 Paradressage rider
"My name is Heather Lemmon and I'm an International Grade 2 Paradressage rider. My horses name is Freya and she's really the star of the show! We're gearing up for our second season of international competition and are on the long list for the Paralympics. I'm a huge perfectionist when it comes to turnout for a show (which is tough with a grey) and always believe you need good products. With my disability I often snap bands but since we started using Glas Equine plaiting bands we have been so impressed. They not only rarely snap when plaiting but Freya's plait can stay in for a few days when we stay away!Really excited to be working with a local sustainable brand we trust."
Thomasina O'Reilly
Show Rider
"Hi, I’m Thomasina. I’m a show rider, love dressage and train riders on the flat as well. I have 4 connemara’s and an ISH mare as well. I have enjoyed success with Camille (Rosscon Camille) with wins in Dublin and Clifden as well as throughout the country. I love riding side saddle on her particular. We also competed in dressage together in Hickstead. Aoife, (Copperbeech Aoife) my second girl won a number of dressage championships at regional level, and on her first day out inhand went Supreme Champion last year in Slane. I have 2, 4 year old mares Heather (Flower of Roo) and Margo (Teresa’s Delight) both were shown inhand last year. Heather was 3 yr old All Ireland Champion amongst her other wins. I am very much looking forward to working with them as they begin their ridden careers. Lastly is Angel, my broodmare who has produced 3 beautiful foals for me over the year."

My pony’s name is Ballynagilly Fergie, he is an 11-year-old Connemara pony. I couldn’t do any of this without the help and support of my mam. We travel around the country to event and I hope to compete in internationals next year! I’m looking forward for next season and having Glas Equine as a sponsor."
