Heather Lemmon

Grade 2 Paradressage rider

"My name is Heather Lemmon and I'm an International Grade 2 Paradressage rider. My horses name is Freya and she's really the star of the show! We're gearing up for our second season of international competition and are on the long list for the Paralympics. I'm a huge perfectionist when it comes to turnout for a show (which is tough with a grey) and always believe you need good products. With my disability I often snap bands but since we started using Glas Equine plaiting bands we have been so impressed. They not only rarely snap when plaiting but Freya's plait can stay in for a few days when we stay away! Really excited to be working with a local sustainable brand we trust."

I have 4 connemara’s and an ISH mare as well. I have enjoyed success with Camille (Rosscon Camille) with wins in Dublin and Clifden as well as throughout the country. I love riding side saddle on her particular. We also competed in dressage together in Hickstead. Aoife, (Copperbeech Aoife) my second girl won a number of dressage championships at regional level, and on her first day out inhand went Supreme Champion last year in Slane. I have 2, 4 year old mares Heather (Flower of Roo) and Margo (Teresa’s Delight) both were shown inhand last year. Heather was 3 yr old All Ireland Champion amongst her other wins. I am very much looking forward to working with them as they begin their ridden careers. Lastly is Angel, my broodmare who has produced 3 beautiful foals for me over the year."
